Karlgård, Skellefteå - Sweden 🇸🇪

The Karlgård residential area comprises 57 dwellings with very high requirements for the sound insulation between the dwellings. The goal was to achieve sound class A for the floor structure. The floor structure (based on lightweight wooden I-Beams) and other components including junctions are carefully designed over many years. Acouwood has taken part in the system development, sound mapping outside the buildings and measurements to verify the results, sound class A.
