Therefore, our mission is to increase the use of wood in construction worldwide to help our society grow and adapt to a circular economy. We strive to realize this goal by providing you the best possible service to make wood a more common building material.

The Goals with our services

We strive to provide you with all the calculations needed to ensure that your building is up to national standards regarding sound insulation. Additionally, we are in close collaboration with academia to ensure that we are using the most effective and modern methods of measuring sound insulation. Furthermore, we are using the latest calculation tools to predict sound insulation to the greatest possible accuracy.

We use the most modern measuring instruments from Norsonic to refine the wooden house industry and assure that your clients will be satisfied with the environment they will be experiencing.

Our story

Our Beginning

The idea for Acouwood came from our founder Klas Hagberg, who recognized the growing demand for good, sustainable acoustics.

It is predicted that by 2050, the world's urban population will increase by 2.5 billion people. This corresponds to 14,000 new apartments every day for 40 years. This means that the population density will increase; thus, noise levels will increase too. Therefore, the need for good sound quality in buildings will increase.

With the increasing public awareness of how we are damaging the ecosystem, we need to find a way to transform our society to live sustainably. Within construction, this means wood as wood is a renewable, natural, sustainable, and clean resource.

Hence, Klas decided to create Acouwood, a company built to match a growing demand while keeping our world healthy and happy through wooden constructions and eco-friendly interior designs.

Our Current Story

After one year of running the company, a new partner was introduced, Rikard Öqvist, to help meet the growing demand. After three years of running, demand has only increased, allowing us to expand and hire three new employees: Erik Nilsson, Erik Wenzke, and Marco Schwab. With the increased staff, we assure that the same quality services are provided to all of you, ultimately leading to us achieving our mission.

Acouwood strives for customer satisfaction, and with the growing demand for wood buildings around the globe, Acouwood is expected to expand to more countries and staff to ultimately help turn the economy circular.

Why wood? The material is much more complicated to use in not only Acoustics but also buildings. Well, the main reason is that it is sustainable. Wood is an amazing material that can be combined with other materials to produce constructions that reflect the characteristics you desire much more, as an alloy. You need to know how to use it, and that’s where we can help.

Wood is sustainable, but it also produces a much smaller carbon footprint when it is being manufactured, and it works with the natural cycle of the ecosystem. Thus, it will work well with the modern goals to transform the economy circular.

For example, wooden construction will help promote the 11th and 12th sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
