The project comprises several buildings, each comprising five storeys. The project is situated in the Hemlingby in Gävle on the Swedish east coast north of Stockholm. Acouwood has been involved in the design since 2019. Acouwood was involved early in the project to set efficient acoustic quality levels which resulted in the aim to fulfil sound class B for impact sound and minimum requirements for airborne sound insulation, in acoustic figures – DnT,w+C50-3150 ≥ 52 dB and L´nT,w+CI,50-2500 ≤ 52 dB. One of our early missions was to predict the sound insulation and thereby provide detailed design of structural components and junctions in collaboration with the designers. We also carried out verification measurements. It will all be completed in 2023.
